"I've had the privilege of helping countless families with their ear, nose, throat and allergy conditions over the years. They know they can trust the solid education that prepared me for my specialty. As the first ENT physician in the area to be fellowship-trained in allergy care, I'm able to provide a thorough treatment plan to obtain improved results for children and adults throughout this community. Providing that kind of comprehensive treatment elevates the level of care my patients can expect, and that's why Hampton Roads ENT-Allergy includes an on-site allergy lab and a complete hearing-care center, in addition to the full spectrum of ear, nose and throat treatments and head and neck surgery. I pioneered the total coblation tonsillectomy, a procedure that results in less bleeding, faster healing, and considerably less pain than with the traditional technique. That's the kind of commitment we bring to all the care we provide our patients. Whatever health problem brings you to my office, you can feel confident that I'll help you find a solution."

"According to my mother, I first planned to become a doctor when I was about 5 years old. My grandfather's passing away from cancer had a profound impact on me, and even then I knew that I wanted to help people when I grew up. That commitment is still evident when I'm treating patients today. I bring my patients the advantage of advanced training in the treatment of allergy, specialized surgical head and neck procedures, and leading-edge technology for the treatment of sinus disorders. My solid education and training are crucial, but I believe that personal, compassionate care is just as important. When you trust me with any health concern, you'll be rewarded with a doctor who gets to know you, cares about your well-being, and does everything he can to find the best solutions for you. At the end of the day, I'm proud of the care I provide. I look forward to helping you and your family."

When I was young, my mother joked that I should become a doctor so that I could take care of my parents in their old age. As a boy, I took her words to heart and developed a commitment to helping others through my work. Since completing my medical training, I have been privileged to help patients with their ear, nose, throat and allergy needs. While I enjoy all aspects of my specialty, I particularly enjoy treating pediatric patients as well as helping those with nasal and sinus issues. Some of my most rewarding work has been helping those facing the challenge of a new cancer diagnosis. As your doctor, I will work with you to understand your ENT concerns and to develop a personalized treatment plan.

Like many physicians, I entered into this profession because I have been a patient and had great admiration for many of my caregivers. I truly believe in a common definition of physician: a person who heals or exerts a healing influence. As an osteopathic physician and surgeon, I am specifically trained to look at the whole person to reach a diagnosis without focusing just on the symptoms. I believe in the philosophy that my interventions are to help the body to heal itself. I strive to treat all my patients as I would my own family: with care, concern and commitment.

“As an Audiologist, I can help with your hearing or vertigo issues. Since I graduated in 2001, I have enjoyed helping people back in to the hearing world with all the latest technology. The hearing aids from 10 years ago are not comparable to where technology is today. It has been a joy watching my patients hear their family members clearly for the first time, or even just participating in the dinner conversation while out at a noisy restaurant. I am excited to be back among family and friends, and also to be part of Hampton Roads ENT and Allergy..”

“21 years ago my daughter was born prematurely and was placed in the neonatal intensive care unit at a local children’s hospital.  As I watched my baby girl become stronger and stronger each day with the love and care given by the nurses, I knew then that I wanted to become a nurse.

I have achieved that goal and in May 2011, I graduated with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice Degree from Old Dominion University.  As a Family Nurse Practitioner I chose the specialty of ENT and have been working in this field for over 7 years.  I have cared for ENT patients with minor complaints of occasional ear discomfort to those with a diagnosis of cancer.  With each patient that I meet, I realize that the choice to become a nurse was a good one.

I strongly believe that healthcare should be delivered professionally and competently to all who seek care.  As such, you will receive exceptional ENT and Allergy care and I will always be your advocate when it comes to your health.  I am very excited about being part of the Hampton Roads ENT and Allergy team and look forward to treating your ENT issues.”
